Are you a lurker? Hello!

Hi Cmdrs, both the frequent posters and the quiet ones :)

I'm a kickstarter backer and have enjoyed my time spent in the ED universe so far, although lacking that much free time, I have to prioritize what I can do in that time and I'm looking forward to the coming updates over the years to justify bringing ED to the top of the list!

So although I don't get much time in ED (I'm somewhere near Sag A* psyching myself up for the journey home!) I do enjoy reading the forums....
These forums are often hilarious, often cringy, often full of interesting links, and user art and content - they're entertaining!
I hardly ever post, being somewhat a lurker enjoying watching from the back row - and I reckon there's heaps of us - so a big hello to all you other lurkers!
Any lurkers wanting to lose their forum virginity, feel free to post a hello :-D
cheers cmdrs

I bought into this game back in September of 2014, my first stop to find out how to play this game was these forums.
There were a lot of helpful people on here originally but only a few of them are still around. I can't thank those people enough for helping me
learn how to play this game. Even today, I am learning something new about the game.
I still consider myself somewhat of a lurker, I play E: D on one computer and while I am in cruising to a station god knows how many LS away,
I peruse the forums on the second computer. I don't get involved in heated debates, I just read the opinions of others.
Lately it has been a bit depressing and I wish the users of this forum didn't turn this place into another YouTube comment section.
It took me another 15 months after purchasing the game before I actually signed up on these forums. Mainly because to view images posted, I had to be signed in.
To this day I barely post anywhere, except the Odd Thread where a few of us try have a bit of fun. No discussions, disagreements, just a bit of fun.
Anywhere else on these forums if I see an informative post, a helpful one or something that made me laugh, I try to show appreciation to the author.
Sometimes a new user asks for help, if I can, I try to help but more often than not, some quick-draw-McGraw ninjas my posts and beats me to it.
So to all those "lurkers" out there who may be afraid to post, this community doesn't bite, the users will welcome you and try to help you.
Yes there are some shady characters who you wouldn't trust with a slice of toast, but don't let that discourage you. Start a thread about something,
give those far out explorers some entertainment, share your knowledge and discoveries, join the community. Most importantly, have a bit of fun.

Thanks Flash Harry and Backer #-4112 :)
I've kinda realised that this thread by it's very nature won't get much feedback lol
Still hello to everyone though ;-)
