Are you able to transfer items from your ship storage to backpack?

I am unable to transfer anything from my ship to my backpack. Is anyone else having this problem?
I have some items I wanted to give to a friend. Usually you get it from your ship, into your backpack, meet your friend somewhere and toss it out of the backpack for them to pick up.

I created a Frontier Bug, and if it is to be fixed and I'm not just too stupid to understand how it works,it needs to be voted up to be fixed.
I also created a video showing how it doesn't work for me. Boring video, but if I'm "just doing it wrong" this will show it.

Have you tried a relog? There is a bug with item transfer at the moment that logging resolves. Not ideal, I'll grant...

FWIW, I noticed the other day that transferring e-breaches and power regs to my backpack appeared to not work (not shown in the backpack), but once on foot they were in the backpack. I think it's some kind of display bug, try making the transfer and then get out on foot and check the backpack.

It doesn't work in stations. Hasn't since post-beta. Used to be you could "clean" items by doing that in a station. After beta you basically have access to everything in personal storage while in stations so moving stuff in that context is pointless.
