General Are you CMDRs playing in wings or team-multicrew? WHY?!

Dear CMDRs,
💜
am I missing something? WHY did FRONTIER just issued 2 seats SRV, and added a 4th seat in some large ships ? Am I wrong if I say that 95% of CMDRs fly alone 95% of the time, or?

What are the reasons CMDRs are not teaming, to your opinion?:
  • Teaming is not stable enough (P2P system)
  • Turrets suck and don't do more dammage when manned
  • Using 3 ships is sooo much better than one ship manned by 3 CMDRs
  • No benefits, quite the opposite
  • any other?

I am very open to try again. I have no expectation
🙂

I like going out bounty hunting and opening up the ship to multi crew. Have all sorts of people across all skill levels jump into the fighters. Some of them are pretty good, others are still going "wait, what are pips?" I usually have 2 ship bay, so once I get a person on board, I'll stop searching for others. That way I can either let them jump back out as they die, or if they aren't really as helpful as they might want to be, i can put my NPC out. Those fighters are a lot of fun, and the fixed beams are effectively a huge hardpoint, so the damage they can do is real.

You are one of a kind. 99% of the time, there is no ship to jump-in in multicrew. That says a lot...

WINGS/TEAMS
Quite regularly.
  • Undermining and fighting combat zones is more interesting being part of wing. Not so challenging though - I would guess there is space for improvement in terms of balance. Sharing money from wing missions killing enemy faction ships in combat zones. Ground CZ is also usually more interesting as team.
  • Power play fortification and expansion (cargo delivery) is also sometimes more safe to do being part of a wing with some PvPers. Some small benefits to save time dropping on wing mate beacon when they are landed at station you fly to.
MULTICREW
Multicrew is bugged as hell. Too often getting blue tunnels when performing jumps. Nothing to do while flying other commander ship as most of the ships are not made for multicrew.

I guess in general you are right - there are no special game loops designed for multicrew. I guess it will stay like this until we get NPC crew and multicrew merged together in terms of functionality. And balanced it accordingly, e.g. (as mentioned) buff/balance for turreted weapons, ability to revive team mates, use landable SLF without tele-presense etc.

[ARE CMDRs PLAYING IN WINGS/TEAMS/MULTICREW ?]

Are you CMDRs really playing in wings or team-multicrew? FRONTIER just issued 2 seats SRV, and added a 4th seat in some large ships. BUT WHY?! I bet 95% of CMDRs are 95% of the time playing alone, or?

reasons:
  • Teaming is not stable enough (P2P system)
  • Turrets suck and don't do more dammage when manned
  • Using 3 ships is sooo much better than one ship manned by 3 CMDRs
  • No benefits, quite the opposite
  • ... any other?
I multicrew with myself, because I love having company in the copilot seat in my Cobra / Python / Orca. This alt account just sits there looking pretty, having no functional purpose at all. I'd hate to be the one stuck in that copilot chair. Thankfully AFK Jenny doesn't mind ;)

Two accounts and two PCs. Technically it's my wife's copy of ED, except that she has ZERO interest in the game, so "her" account is my designated NPC AFK copilot.
Dear FDev could you please add anything to the game, which would be remotely attractive for out wives???
