Are you going to play the Beta?

And if so, how are you planning to survive the month between the Beta and release date after dipping your toes into the game?
It's the one reason I think playing the Beta may not be a good thing for me. Maybe I should wait for full release so I'm able to enjoy the game indefinitely, immediately. :D

Well I think playing the beta will help us get use to the game navigation, placing and manipulating objects, working with the animals, etc. So when the full game is released we will be all set to dive in. And playing the beta will help us identify any bugs or issues for Frontier that they can remedy before full release. But I know how you feel. I am almost uncontrollably excited for this game.

Yes!

I work +/- 32 hours per week, so... :p

Heheh. Well, as a self-employed person, I tend to work around 70 hours a week (10/7). I guess the month will fly by quickly enough.
Still, I'm a bit afraid of getting a sip of something awesome and then having to wait for it to brew.

Yes. I'm treating it like a true beta and planning on not attempting to simulate how I would play it when live.
That's the right way to do it, of course. After all, we will be of much more use reporting issues and suggesting changes rather than just playing the game. :)

Yes, I will play the beta.

However, the three additional animals were the main reason I purchased the deluxe edition and the beta was never on my main list.
Therefore, I will primarily try to get compfortable with the building system, have a close look at all the parts and how to use them. If I like the outcome, I will save blueprints so I can use my creations in the launched game and hope they will survive the bugfixing.

While I certainly will dip into the first scenario and the franchise mode, I will not dive too deep into it, as I fear the same as you do, Chris.
I am very worldly-wise!

...

...

Oh my, who am I try to fool here?
I will jump right into it, enjoy and adore every single animal available in the beta, start three different zoos in the franchise mode and mourn to the heavens during those four weeks of deprivation. :D

I'm going to play the Beta mostly for testing things out.
First I will do the Scenario but then I will dive in Franchise mode and use it mainly to test the building system and enclosures and how the animals react to everything I change in them.
I might make a small zoo in the end to test the management of the staff and the staff buildings etc.

I'm going to play the beta, and after the 8th, I'm probably going to go back to playing different games until it comes out. Simply not thinking about a game too much will make it easier on me when it comes to waiting. Not to mention, that in the beta I'm just going to be testing things and trying to get used to the controls.. and the pathing system..

Going to play it every day if I can, and I plan to do loads of videos about it on my YT channel, everything from Let's play videos, to tutorials, guides, How to videos, short tips and so on.

I will leave a link to my channel so you can jump in early, subscriber and follow all my videos about Plane Zoo. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwKtlhYJz_OM1J7vQ5hSfqA (I checked the forum rules, didn't find anything against leaving a link to a YT channel, but if it's not OK, mods you can delete it)

Sadly I won't cause I have yet to buy a new PC. I did preorder the game though. Now I know it looks like kinda stupid move from me. but I'm really but really not into video games and didn't bought any game never. This is my first time I will buy a video game and in that case I really don't care for 60$-70$. And also I am ready to spend a lot more money on future DLC's for this game, unless for dinosaurus or myth creatures, sorry but I am not into that stuff.

I will surely enjoy in dozens of videos on youtube and twitch who will play beta, I am pretty excited for that honestly. But I decided to preorder a deluxe edition cause firstly when I buy a new PC (hopefully soon) I will play the game of course, and second I wanted to support those who decided to make a proper zoo building game after 25 years from Zoo Tycoon 2. For me as a huge lover of animals, wilderness and quallity zoos that is least I can do 😊

Yes I will play the beta. I'd like to do the 1st scenario in career mode and do my best in Franchise to get a taste for how it all works. In the month following I will watch the videos that others have made of their experience and plan how I will create my first [full-game] zoo in November with what I've learned.

I will play the beta. However, I am limited in my time in those weeks :(
I will just see it as a sneak peak. And wacht loads of youtube stream video's to keep me satisfied until the official release.
