"ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!?"

I know all of us.. wait... you? on the forums are "starved for content." I retort with a question for you... "Why did you start playing this game?" or... (not and) "Why do you play this game?" I have been playing this game for 35 months?, and I don't see any issues in the content department. *Segway

If you can't beat them...

No.

Stop posting your bland videos to try and get clicks, they are intensely boring, and completely unedited. You've already posted this one, and you're here, doing it again, around a flimsy excuse to post something with no relation to whatever you're trying to say.

I haven't watched the video but I do broadly agree with the sentiment that the game already has plenty of content. I play every day for several hours at a time, and after thousands of hours I still have plenty I want to achieve.

I like flying the ships, I try to find reasons to use different ships, or because I have so much money now, sometimes the same type of ship with different loadouts. My builds are quite often well below optimal, I explore in a Corvette for example.

Generally I'll do what I do in Open for the opportunity to meet & interact with interesting characters but I don't depend on others being in Open too (although it is easier to negotiate with someone you actually stand a chance of being instanced with), and to some degree the risk inherent in that slows me down. I'm far less likely to use an unshielded T-9 maximised for cargo in open than in solo for example, but I do have one & will use it if I am confident the coast is clear. Establishing that the coast is clear is part of the fun, because sometimes it isn't :D

Why did I start playing Elite...

Let's see...

I was waiting for No Man's Sky to be released, after pre-ordering and then the release being delayed.
Why No Man's Sky?

Well, I like fly-the-space-ship games, especially fly-the-spaceship games that let me land on planets.
When I first started looking for something like this to play, Elite did turn up in my search results, but at the time, it didn't include planetary landing, so I kept looking. I found No Man's Sky, and thought the concept of procedurally generated worlds was fascinating. The whole concept sounded quite intriguing, and it did have planetary landing, seamlessly, as part of the game play. So I ordered it.

Then it was delayed, so I went looking for something to scratch that particular itch. Elite came up again, now in version 2.3. It now had planetary landing, as well as Engineering, so I thought What the heck, I'll give it a try.

Turned out to be a pretty decent game. Still is. Half the community needs smacked, but I've learned to live with that.
No Man's Sky did release after being delayed, and I still play it too. It's a different kind of game, but I enjoy it.
I enjoy Elite as well. The flight-sim like feel of the controls, the support for pretty much anything I can plug in, great visuals, great audio... it's fun.

No offense - but a full 1h 21m full of... well, not much to see here (??)
That's basically listening to a few guys having a lengthy Voice chat session.

If anything, that sure doesn't help advertise content, since next to none was shown in the Video...
Mitterand Hollow is a highly unrealistic but funny place to visit obviously. I'd have cut down the Vid to 5mins focusing on that IMHO.

Segway: a two-wheeled, self-balancing personal transporter . The context would imply op meant 'proceed to what follows without pause', which is spelled : 'segue', as any linguistician knows fnarr fnarr. It would appear fortunate that this grammatical perturbation has prevented my doing so.

wondered why auto-correct left it.
