Are you ready for 'Engineering Tuesday'?

For me, Frontier are two for two with the Beyond live streams. The final stream is closing in faster than an angry NPC Chieftain (Tuesday, 7pm GMT), when Frontier will reveal all the changes to those weird Engineers we all know and love*, along with news about the Material Brokers who have come to save our souls - and sanity.

* Well, some of you love. :p

Not particularly hyped, to be honest. I'm more interested in what they have done with the planets.

I fear the upcoming Beta will be quite a grind if we are to test the new engineers mechanics properly.

Not really bothered about the engineers more excited for the planets and, after hearing about it, the new trade stuff.

Saying that, if they change it and engineers become really cool and fun, well I'd be down with that. :)

The new technology broker may make some of the engineers obsolete, in the sense that it may be more worth your while (depending on what you do) to unlock some custom module than to upgrade one of the stock ones. I'm curious to see how this plays out. Hmmm, have they said whether tech broker modules can be engineered? I've been assuming not because of power creep.

Am I excited for the Tuesday livestream?

Nah not really. We already know about the engineering revamp, so unless anything has changed in the past few weeks it will just be a review. I'd like to think that Sandro might talk about the community's concerns regarding the new "grade grind", but there has been zero Frontier feedback in the forum over it so I'm expecting they won't be changing anything on that front, sadly.

The only livestream I was super excited for was the second one about the planet changes, but that was disappointing so now I'm just waiting for the beta so I can answer my own questions about it.

No but I am ready for the first DLC for Assassins Creed origins and the Sea of Thieves beta.

Honestly, I haven't paid a lot of attention to any of the "Beyond" live-streams.

I know what they've said they intend to do and I know I'm not looking forward to it.
I also know that I'm not going to stop playing ED any time soon so, whatever happens, I'll just have to suck it up.

And if, by some chance, they also decide to introduce a bunch of stuff that I like, it'll be a nice surprise so I don't want to ruin that by building up my hopes only to be disappointed later.

Not all that excited about engineering but am looking forward to them squeezing in a planetary landing.

Also hoping with it being the last stream before beta we may get a nice surprise.

I'm going to buck the neg trend in this thread so far and say yes, I am looking forward to it :)

I've not played since the last major engineers revamp (various reasons not limited to getting bored) so this will be very important for me. I didn't totally hate engineers but I've got very little motivation to put myself through it again unless it's significantly improved as a gaming experience. So this will help me decide if I'm willing to reinstall the game in future.

After many hours of shuffling and discarding the small inventory and over 100 rolls on my Anacondas FSD without improvements, I am totally looking forward to that part of the update.
I don't care how long it take. An ever so slightly guaranteed improvement will keep me running.

Do you mean to play in the stream?

I hope not. I'm happy with a small sample to showcase new content. I've no idea why some people want loads of spoilers in streams (ie the complaints about the new planet visuals). A couple examples is enough for me.

I'm looking forward to hearing if they've taken any of the suggested changes on board and how they'll handle the grandfathering.

I expect Sandy is preparing his flame suit as we speak.

The other live streams were good too and am looking forward to the update.

No, I mean that once Audio is live they actually have content to play that makes it dev time well spent.

Man, I don't even know...

I already have a Diamondback Explorer I can scrap for its tier 5 FSD for the Chieftain.

I think it's too much to hope that the changes will make the PVP meta fall in line more with the rest of the game enough to make it something that's worthwhile, but I wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised.

I'll probably check out the after game party.
