Hi all,
Just having an interesting PM discussion with another forum member and they happened to make an observation:
"There is no career path in piracy."
I thought about this.... Then I thought about it some more.... Then I looked up the definition of "pirate" in the dictionary:
PIRATE
noun
1. a person who attacks and robs ships at sea.
PIRATE
verb
1. use or reproduce (another's work) for profit without permission, usually in contravention of patent or copyright.
2. rob or plunder (a ship).
I've been attacked in game by NPC pirates and I do recall them demanding I drop my cargo. I've also been attacked by CMDRs in game and I don't ever recall them demanding my cargo. So, does that mean these sold called pirates are NOT pirates, but are in fact, just simple murderers?
Are there any pirates out there that actually make money out of piracy? You know like, stealing cargo and selling it for profit? Or are all CMDR pirates just beating up other ships for the kicks?
Random thought of the day. Discuss.
Kind regards, Andrew.
