Are you serious Frontier? I can´t be the only one!

This is unbelievable! Got my Asp a shiny (and not cheap) new paintjob before I took off to a quick weekend trip to Barnards Loop. On my way back I thought I´d take some pics at the Witchhead Nebula. See for yourself what that paintjob looks like after not even 1.5 Kylies

I mean, I did not even land on atmospheric planets. I know what a ship looks like after that baptism of fire.

If you made a similar experience, lets gang together and make them pay. They wont get away with this!

It's supercruise distance that does it, not light years jumped. If you've been flying in system taking pics of your asp in front of things, it'll happen.
The good news is you can get it touched up for 10cr at most stations.

I think paint wear should be able to be toggled on and off from the livery screen, making your current wear level permanent until you decide to change it. Some people enjoy the relatively rapid deterioration, some people like how a certain percentage looks, and some people would prefer their ship remains pristine, there's no reason to not accommodate everybody. Charge a few thousand credits and call it applying a premium protective coating to your ship so it doesn't seem out of place.

Offering the option could only be good for business. When paint wear started to work I saw a number of people express regret at having bought paint jobs and decide to not buy any more in the future.

YEp. You lose 1% paint and integrity for every 100,000 Ls travelled in Supercruise. Going to Hutton Orbital (6,800,000 Ls) means losing 68% of your paint.

Even more I think if you land on planets. Did a 40k trip recently and my Asp looked like it had been through a sandblaster :)

I can't figure out if the OP is meant to be humorous, a parody or something, or if it's a legit FD-forum gripe.

That's possibly the most boring looking paintjob I've ever seen. You should thank the wear for livening up your livery a bit. (Seriously, you spent money on that?)

When you repair your paint you can select a specific percentage, so if you are at 10% but really like that 55% look you just set dial the 100% down to 55% and you are good to go!

Also, if your paint is at 10% and you change your livery to a different paint, the new paint will be 100%, but switch back to the paint you had at 10% and it will still be at 10% (I think)
