Exploration related :)

Vegan = Highly believes ALL bodies must be scanned in any given system before moving on. Hates farming(like the Neutron Fields).
Veggie = Will scan many bodies, sometimes all. Live and let live regarding to farmer, but doesn't farm.
Omnivore = Does a bit of scanning or lots, but also farms. Farming is more a need to rank up than credits.
Meat-Eater = Pffft to scanning. Farms , purely for Rank/Credits/First Discoveries

When I consider my scanning activities I think I'm an Omnivore.

Determine what I scan by a) how pretty/shiney it might be then b) how valuable it might be.

I think I might be a galactic magpie.

It's a pity we can't choose multiple options.

I started exploring as a vegan, then became veggie, then meat-eater (neutron field farming), then omnivore and now am back to veggie. So I voted veggie.

If you were to scan EVERY SINGLE PLANET IN EVERY SINGLE SYSTEM, I wonder at what speed does a vegan moves if they even have left civilized space since launch...lol...

I'm omnivore...and more often than not, I scan whole systems...for sure, if I scan a gas giant regardless, I always scan all of their moons as well...they are part of the planet! an extension of it! a mini-system!

Vegan then, I take exploration like drawing a map. So I scan everything including belt clusters.
If I'm in a rush and jump through systems I don't scan anything to leave it for the next explorer.
All or nothing.

Pretty slowly

I guess Omivore? I tend to scan the higher end targets: the obvious, as well as HMCs, Metal-Rich and nearby gas giants.

My main thing is that I don't like the icy rocks. So sick of them. I'm an glaciephobe...?

It may be a noobish question, but what exactly is "farming"?

Usually means going to places where there a lot of neutrons stars and jumping from one to the next.

And by lot, I means hundreds of millions... or more. Not that one person scans all that. But the neutron fields around the core are reputed to be vast.

I'm a veggie. Meaning that in certain situation i can suppress my scan OCD, but I'm never able to leave a system without looking system map, and i can forse myself to not entirely scan it if it's very boring, like M class with a bunch of icy or binary system with no planets and the other star 500000 ly away.

Picky eater, me. :p
Advance scan until I get to where I am going then scan major objects.

EDit: Clicked "See results" then Go back one page and could vote. :S

I've gone Veggie but I'm a wannabe Vegan.

I'm just not very good at finding everything.

Maybe one day, with a bit more practice, I'll be properly meat free.

I can say from personal experience that the progress is painfully sslooooooooooooooooooow :D

I used to scan like that in the beginning as I wasn't in a hurry to get anywhere, but it burned me out after a while.

Now I'm a little more selective, I still scan all the planets and the moons in a system, but if there's other stars in the system that look like they have nothing but snowballs I leave those stars and planets for the next explorer (very important to leave the other stars for the next person if I don't want to scan those ice planets).
