Where is the Vs AI mode?

The very first thing released by FDev to us was the training missions. Why has no AI game development happened?

I agree that AI for Arena would be a great feature.

It seems to me that Frontier's AI team is too small. We need more AI in several other areas as well:
Trucks and SRV's on planet surfaces, dogfighting and combat near planet surfaces, NPC wings, etc.
