Argh! Ok! I'm done!

Gah!
It's worse if anything after the update!
I'm carrying Impo slaves at the moment.

I got interdicted by 3 different NPCs (after deciding to stick around and kill them when they interdicted).
Lol!

Thanks FD - I get the feeling you're just trying to minimise trade rewards at the moment!
I know your game...! :D

#Krash Landing: Was your cutter a rated?,especyally thrustets a8?full a rated plus 4A0 sbs and a6 shields, after submiting is no match for any type of interdictor interdicting, than 2-4-0, 2-3 boosts,hw.

Can the Type 7s unusually responsive for Yaw in SC help you win the interdiction

Depends on the interdictor. If they're clumsy in supercruise, most of the time you could win. The trouble was that more agile craft- even as small as Eagles- could kill a T-7 in no time when they won. It was a fun part of the game, trying to decide whether to risk submitting and boosting, or fight the interdiction, knowing that submission would more than likely show you a rebuy screen. Now that the AI's been tweaked they win more interdictions and carry ridiculously overpowered weapons. Unless you're a very good throttle and stick jockey I'd leave the big Lakons parked up for a while... ;)

Ok, I'm starting to get the impression that the ship you are in makes a huge difference.
After getting my new shiny Anaconda a couple hours ago and doing the same trade runs for the last hour or two, I've only had one interdiction. :D

Powerplay or no powerplay, that is the question...? Because the constant interdictions all and everywhere are what drove me out of powerplay, since then it's been relatively quiet

indeed, this is why i dropped PP.

indeed it wasnt the interdictions, i could handle that... it was the 100 credits i got for my time, for killing them. At least make it worth my while!.

(ps I will be the 1st to admit I do not "get" the finer points of PP, as i have not played it for the longest of times, however unless its changed it was way to irritating for me. outside of PP i only get interdicted rarely unless i have specific missions )

Well, unless you want to become one of the Excel pushers there really isn't much to it: Register with a group and start interdicting haulers in the systems they tell you. Then wait until thursday 7am to cash in eBay-style so the other team has no time to interdict more haulers than you.

At first it was fun, as it did give me a sense of purpose and the first time we nuked ALD it was really really awesome. Then FD officially crapped all over it and made her empress anyway, that's when I quit...

Please point me to your system. I tried very hard to get interdicted to today. Played for about 5 hours. Didn't see 1 elite NPC that wasn't an Anaconda cop. Got interdicted a dozen times. Aprox once every half hour. And those were only the mission NPC spawns, despite stacking multiple missions at a time.

you carrying cargo? I get one every third jump ~ ish though some immediately crash into the local star -_-

If you weren't interdicted at least several times a minute, you would have time to realise that the only content you got in the past 6 months was RNG special effects and bookmarks.

The donkey is dead! You can stop flogging me!

This has to be a new record - interdicted 11 times! 11 times trying to get to a station!
Hahaha!

(Just kidding about being done - just fed up with NPCs not gettng the message. My cargo is mine! :D )

Cargo? Try collector limpets. They're like cat nip to npc pirates.

I've tried turning away from the star so it's directly behind me, theory being they can't get behind to interdict without getting burned by the star, didn't stop one cheating conda which moved direct into the centre of the star!

Still easier to just submit and kill them ;)

Not the easiest thing to do in a type 7 or type 9, I'm actually hesitant to get into hauler types with all the interdiction story's I've been reading on here, I've kitted out my Python to be a glorified 200T hauler, at least with that, submitting or evading is relatively easy.

...and you can make him bleed a little / mark him like a branded cow b4 you choose to return to your main objective

apparently in post-1.2 versions "interdiction miningames" quite unpolayable.
FD seems to "pretend to solved" that issues by making "insta-win" condition sometimes(when light ship try to interdict ship with a-rated medium or heavy-ship), but genrally its still broken a lot. some(both among players and FD)may think "its way it should be", but im not among them.
also rate of attack itself (outside pirate sectors, anarchy secotrs, civil war or major faction wars regions) also several times higher that it should be "in general". such amount of arcade/actions - not improve immersion, but breaks it.

Cant help but agree. As a role player it is difficult to feel anything like immersed when the interdictions are so regular. Unless space really is teeming with pirates and vagabonds.... Which is unlikely. Even in the most populous systems the majority of traffic would be traders and honest pilots.. Interdictions can be great fun.. When not happening every 40 seconds

I think that the problem I found most aggravating was the sheer speed in which you could be re-interdicted after escaping. This is the biggest annoyance.
It used to be that when an interdiction was successful (even on a submission), the interdictor would suffer the FSD failure, meaning the longer recharge time.
This should give the escaper a little more lee-way (Hmm... sp?) for getting onto their journey once more.

I don't mind the odd interdiction now and then - it adds some intrigue and fun. But the biggest irritation I have found is getting interdicted 10Mm from your goal, then finding yourself 50ls away. Then rinse and repeat over.. and over... and over... and over...
