I REALLLLY hate skimmers, and for one simple reason. They increased my combat rank, and shockingly fast! I really don't think they should contribute to combat rank advancement at all, since they don't fight back. There's no combat involved. Now I'll have to deal with a new level of pain-in-the-rear NPC ships for no good reason.
