Arissa Lavigny-Duval Power Play Cycle 5

ALD is in Turmoil this Cycle, this wasn't unexpected.

We need to stop all Expansion.

Every new system will just keep us in Turmoil for longer.

This spreadsheet has the costs of our systems

We will probably try to not Fortify One or Two of these systems so we can choose what system to lose.
Try to not fortify any of them until a decision is made.

Completed Undermining vs Hudson:

LHS 142
Alpha Fornacis
Mariyacoch
Epsilon Scorpii
Lalande 39866
LP 701-7
Gliese 868
Othime
39 Serpentis

There is no extra benefit in undermining these systems anymore.

I think so. If we still have shortfall (we will have a shortfall, we fortified everything) we'll lose them, there will probably be more next week too - I'm betting that Kamocan, Lakluita and Pancienses will all be in turmoil next week. Make the most of those bounty bonuses as we're going to lose them.

I plan to go down to our core area right now, and do some bounty hunting, mission running (need that baron rank) and also fortification.

We should still fortify right?

OK here is my current assumption on how it will work. There are no actual official explanations I have read.

Nunus and Vaka are gone at the end of the week.
At the end of last cycle Nunus, Vaka and Panciense were all undermined and their fortification was cancelled.
They cost us 35cc, 33cc and 33cc in upkeep costs.

Vaka was selected by the game over Panciense (for whatever reason)

This may return us to a positive balance, we will need to look at the numbers, my in game UI still isn't updated, over 1 hour after the PP update.

We currently have 8 systems in expansion. If any of these are expanded we will be in turmoil again next cycle, and the game will select some more systems for us to lose.

We really need to not expand anything this cycle (as hard as that will be to get our players to understand).

Basically every extra system expanded needs an existing system to be lost.

We want to focus on undermining the other Powers until there is a clearer picture.

That means there is nothing for our more trading focused players to do right now to help (other than just earn yourself some money :) )

Definitely fortify. Failing anywhere will only make this worse.

well we may want to not fortify somewhere so it is next to fall. If everywhere is fortified the derision is in our enemies hands (just like Nunus and Vaka were)

Yes fortifying control systems will reduce upkeep.

I really hate to lose Vaka. It is my base for incursions into Archon Delayne's territory.

That's only if the assumption is correct, that fortification or undermining has something to do with turmoil in a system. If we do not fortify, this will also mean our total CC will be lower and we could lose even more systems.

We need to prioritise fortification this week. We may also need to organise patrols of wings as Hudson's scum is planning an all out assault on our systems.

There are many players who like Vaka. Everything with an upkeep of 30cc or more is probably in danger.

I believe it is, but yet its an assumption.
If we don't fortify a system and it is undermined its costs go to 60cc+
This would make that system the one on the turmoil list, we can purposely not fortify a few systems we don't like, and try to get them undermined.

Is there any way to play the background simulation to increase CC yields of systems? I.e.:

- Can we somehow help increae systems population?
- Can we somehow affect the government types of exploited and control systems so the local CC yield is optimized for our power ethos

- Is there any other variable that we can affect at the background simulation level that would improve CC yields at all?

Anyone able to post a screenshot of the overview numbers?
Mine still hasn't updated.

Population does increase our income, but I don't know if the population is dynamic.
Systems do have booms and famines, anyone know if they change anything?

Seeing as how the merit farmers will only be able to fortify this cycle (and thus never listen to anything posted here or on the reddit), wouldn't it just be safer to fortify everything and focus more on preventing enemy undermining and any expansions from succeeding?

Has anyone figured out why our overheads are so much higher than the other factions? we've got 575 exploited systems and 4096 in overheads, Hudson has 532 but only 2702 in overheads. Most larger factions have between 50-60% of their overall cc in overheads, but our overheads are 90%+.

How do we stop our expansions from succeeding?

Maybe half of us can pledge to another Power for this week?

Can we promote feudal or patronage type minor factions in our control systems?

Is there anyway to know what type of government the minor factions are other than the "flavour" text in the UI?
