Arissa Lavigny-Duval Power Play Cycle 6

The cycle is scheduled to be flipping right now. I wasn't disconnected from server, so I don't know how they're doing it this time around. My estimate of Best Case is going to be minus at least -92cc. That's probably good for us, honestly, as it means one less system capable of preparing. If we lose Priva in the last minutes, we will likely have around 556cc available. My estimates are based off a lot of variables that should be in line with what FDev will factor, but there could be more alterations and possibly even more changes. Worst case scenario, thanks to successful fortification of Kuuku and Damoorai this evening is around 221cc.

We do not want to prepare five systems, hell, we don't even want to successfully prepare 4 if we can help it. Without a fix we've been told was imminent, by the time we get to Cycle 8, we will most likely be dancing with Turmoil again. What I want to do, ideally, is to use it. We can likely plan well enough to put it off another week, but if we can use it and plan appropriately, we should be able to remove some of our worst systems. This week gave me great hope in the community's ability to "fortify strategically". I hope we can put it into effect soon.

Good morning!

I found a cluster of high-profit systems not far away from HQ and also "gap-fillers". I post some of them here. There are also some in the area that make tidy profits (around 80 CC) but I was unable to access their System Maps.

Phra Narai (patronage?): 59,42 Ly from HQ, Exp. Cost 129 CC, Pot. Profit: 81CC/W - no large pads, outpost 150,69 Ls from star
HIP 27371 (democracy?): 50,02 Ly from HQ, Exp. Cost 124 CC, Pot. Profit: 70CC/W - large pad 296,41 Ls from star

There is another candidate in a different region:

Malaikudi (dictatorship?): 70,88 Ly from HQ, Exp. Cost 134 CC, Pot. Profit: 82CC/W - large pad 115,4 Ls from star

That's all folks, so far. Now I have to go to work... :) Nice Thursday to you all!

Good morning, Tatter. Thanks for the information, that is pretty much all we ask for when researching systems. The last ingredient is the type of government of the system. If you'll check this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteLavigny/comments/3dew3c/weekly_preparation_suggestion_thread/ you'll see that we've got those systems on the list. Well, I didn't include HIP 27371, as Tenchih and HIP 25795 are in the area with Phra Narai and all look more appetizing.

If the decision is to prioritize large landing pads and patronage, we should go with Tenchih. If we think we can work with medium landing pads, Phra Narai might be the best option in that cluster.

In a perfect world, I think we prepare Phra Narai and Krinbea. This isn't a perfect world, and others will disagree with me. The merit-farmers will have their say, but hopefully not Gende. We should see the new numbers soon, and thus planning will commence!

I think you are pretty close to where you numbers will be, if they keep the same system.

Hopefully they actually swap the overhead costs for when the cycle ends, but going by other cycles, I think if there is a change it will happen in the next 12 - 24 hours, not straight away.

I don't think they will change the Overhead calculations without announcing it as part of a minor balance pass on Power Play. I'm assuming the soonest we'll see it is another week, but possibly it won't happen until after the announcement in August.

If that's the case, I hope we can work our Turmoil to our advantage, and we don't need FDev to boost the numbers again.

Not sure what will happen, but there was no last minute dump.

We saw it was close and tried to mobilize everything...

True, but due to the nature of undermining, the game shows no progress until your full mobilization returns to a Control System and delivers the merits. Also, he could have been talking about his side of things.

One issue is the refreshing of the scores.

I know what my screen said with one min to go, thats not necessarily what their server has as the final number though.

Looks like you guys won, my screen said it was 265% to 248% with 1 min left.
Nows it says 265% to 282%

Very anticlimactic.

The Climax is when you both contribute your stories and videos to GalNet and unofficial GalNet and they piece together a story that makes it much better! Life is anti-climactic, you only get climaxes in the highlight reels and sex.

I was with the "underminders". I told everyone to go back with 30 mins to go. So many of us turned in our merits 10 minutes before tick...

We will try to make a galnet story out of this.

It was a last minute herculean effort. Some Patreus commanders helped.

I begged Lavigny's legion to help so they also came at the last moments.
