I am trying to buy armour for the Python but I can not find anyone that actually fit in the Python. In every station I am buying armour it will not say what ship it is for. Am I blind? I am trying to see where it says what ship this and that armour is for. I can only see what ship it will fit after I buy it and try to put it in. Thanks for help.
I haven't tried this in the new UI because I've owned my ships for a long time. If I search for a station that sells armor for a Python using EDDB, for example, it makes me select the ship for which I want armor.

That's a relief. I just got to a station that sells armor for the Python. There are 15 entries for 1C Lightweight Alloy, none of which show what ship they're for. 
However, as you mention, if choosing to REPLACE the armor installed on my ship, I see one 1C Armor in orange color (to purchase from the store) and a couple in yellow color (ones I have in storage).
We'll get used to it, no doubt.

When you are in the core modules you always get offered the armor for your specific ship! Maybe visit a high tech system or something with better grade armor offered: Ho Hsi, Kokojina, Khernidjal, Mizar, Faust 68, Founders World

armor being ship specific just like the hull itself means only that ships armor will fit that ship.
all stations will only sell you armor for the ship you are in
you can't buy armor for a different ship, you MUST be in the ship you want the armor for.
otherwise all you will ever see for sale is armor YOU have stored, or new armor only for the ship you are currently sitting in.
if you have many ships and many armor( IN STORAGE ) , then and only then will you see notes on them all saying what ship they are for.
Odyssey is bad in the way it shows things you own and NOT for sale when in outfitting.
the stuff you can buy is blue or grey
the stuff you already own is yellow.
or maybe striped shade if its not at that station..
It takes a lobotomy to understand the thought behind it.
I think showing the modules in storage WHEN TRYING TO BUY is just stupid.
and another step in how to make life a pain in the a
for STORAGE, lets put them all into boxes so we have to click more.
more importantly we have to know and remember what they all are now in order to pick the right box to look in
not a clue obviously how useful it was to quickly look in storage, JUST TO SEE what is stored LOCALLY.
to have to open 30 boxes to see whats local is the epitomy of what is wrong with being an organizational freakshow.
dump the boxes on the floor so I can see them, and LEAVE THEM THERE.!!
or genius you can actually sort something in Odyssey.
sort MODULES by SHIP MANUFACTURER.

I could not even guess who makes what parts, or care. I don't buy them in a box with a label and I don't know or care who makes them.
that is the stupidest sort possible.
sort by nearest
sort by module class/size
sort by distance
these are sorts that are useful.
tbh I barely know who makes what ships, because it doesn't matter who makes them.
its like telling me the base I am in is made by Rolls Royce
the fish are made by gutamaya
how nice for them, don't care because it doesn't matter.
if it is NOT relevant INGAME, then why tell me or make me use it to sort a list???

or solid 32 PPI works just as well.

I built ALL my ships in Horizons. it is dreadful in Odyssey..
sooo bad that I have to use the database I created years ago, just to get a rough idea where in the very large list, the ship I want is....
ship ID 454....bought on xx date, ok, 3/4 the way down the list......
because bought date is the default sort. that cannot be changed.

Only stations that sell the ship also sell the hull armor, which sorta makes sense if you think about it.
