Engineers Armour + HRP Mod Calculator

By popular request, I've made an armour version of my surprisingly popular shield mod calculator. The armour stuff is a good bit more complicated than shields, so please let me know if you notice any inconsistencies or errors. In any case, here you go:
Armour + HRP Mod Calculator
Please refrain from adding any additional tabs to the sheet, as it tends to confuse people. If you'd like to make any tweaks, feel free to make a copy of the entire document in your drive for your personal use. Make your selections from the white boxes, and see the results in the yellow ones. The light grey stuff is locked to protect the formulas, and the dark grey stuff is all reference information.

Guys ... um ... if we all just keep bumping this thread, do you think Frenotx will update his armour resistance calculator, like he's just done with his shield resistance calculator ... or the mods will do us for harassment?

(This is a risk that I for one am prepared to take.)

you could always combine your bump with a question, like:

is in 2.2.03 still reacive surface bulkheads thermal resist the way to go?

Grr. I was just discussing this with my boyfriend, last night. "It occurs to me that the armour calculator is just as out of date as the shield calculator was.... That this was a pain to make. Eh. Nobody uses that thing anyway."

You sir, know me too well. I can't resist a question like that.

Ok. You guys win. XD I'll get this fixed up when I next get the time, and report when it's ready.

All joking apart - and I'm not trollolo posting for the bump - but it's actually far more relevant post 2.2.03.

From 2.1 to 2.2.02, as we all know, taking hits to hull had become a desperation moment rather than a planned for tactic, so apart from a few die-hards, people were less interested in securing the best possible hull defence for a drawn out engagement against hull.

Now, with the combination of 2.2.03 bi-weave regen, MRP's, military modules and half mass for HRP and MRP, people are responding to Frontier's encouragement to make (hybrid) hull tanking part of their gameplan once again.

Hull tanking is actually so much fun as well, since it's not just "oh, one ring down, SCB time."

I've actually taken to kitting out a hybrid FAS with the changes now and I love it.

Took it into a conflict zone and lost shields, took multiple minutes of ships shooting at me and tons of railgun hits before I dropped below 80% hull. And that was with moderate-terrible grade 3/4 rolls on the HRPs and hull, and missing one of my HRPs with a fuel scoop in its place.

Also took about 6-8 torpedoes to the face from a wing of 3 that tried to claim a 14,000CR bounty before I just left with 76% hull remaining

I really recommend anyone play around with a hull tank build, even something cheap like a Viper Mk.IV, it's incredible fun.

Frenotx,

Someone by the name of "Anonymous Monkey" modified your spreadsheet. (God, I hate hackers; may there be a special place in Hell reserved for them. In the meantime, I want them drawn and quartered.)

I downloaded an Open Office compatible version of it and tried to use it but it's not working correctly. Neither is your Google spreadsheet version.

Could you please refresh it and post when you've done so? I'd like to download a properly working copy.

Thanks.

Yeah, I would love this spreadsheet to work again.
