Newcomer / Intro Arn't able to reach the point.

Started to play the game today and well hopefully i gonna enjoy it. But right now im getting a but upset when im not able to forfill 2 contracts. Im trying to go to Alrai Sector KH-V B2-5. Used Frame Drift Drive. but even if im getting close enough i still cant reach the damn place. Right now im running after the damn station and get further away both in distance and time. What am i doing wrong?

It sounds like you aren't dropping out of supercruise. When your speed and distance drop into the blue zones press jump button again (default j). You should then exit about 8km from the station.

Edit: both speed and distance need to be in the blue zone.

Bind a key to +75% throttle.
As you approach the target (station or res) and are 7 secs away hit that key then just cruise up to the target.
Eventually you'll see the blue 'safe disengage' message, then drop out of supercruise.

Well that station dosnt like me it seems.... i did everything right... Stayed in the blue zone and then i jumped out of super cruise. But then somehow the station seems to outrun me... Right now im chasing it...Lol

And somehow the (quest) i get is to go there. And i dont have any problemws when i did the first quest to another station.

Is it possible that you have your throttle settings wrong?
Do you use a stick (perhaps with a separate throttle) or your keyboard? It might be that you use reverse axis for the throttle so you are flying backwards. In your speedometer, when you fly at 50% speed, is the upper part of the meter filled or the lower part?

Check in options you keybindings.. and look for throttle or thrust (or both) and see if they are setup correctly.

Well the station goes away from me even if i stand still. And i been putting 25% thrust up to 100 % thrust on numpad 1-4 and x is 0 thrust.

I never giving up on games directly but now i start wondering why the heck i bought this game. A simple quest seems to be impossible.

This is a bit new - the stations do orbit (which means they are really shifting) but your ship SHOULD be in the same 'frame' as them, so your speed should be relative to it.

Is it running away from you in Supercruise or Normal Flight?

Well as long im in supercruise i get closer. When i jump out of that i end up chasing it.. Somehow i cant record it at the moment... But when im in normalspeed it stills outruns me....

Okay, so when you drop out of supercruise are you within 1000Mm of it? Do you get 'safe disengage ready' at the bottom of the screen?

That should dump you about 10km or less from the station.

Well i drop out when both speed and distance are in blue zone. Atleast i learnt that. Haha
But somehow i lose my orientation so i have to find the station again when i find the station again im where i am now, chasing after it.

This game really makes me feel like a noob.

Weird. In the blue zone you should get a 'safe disengage ready' message, unless you've not selected it as a destination in the left panel's navigation menu.

Try that, so go to the left panel, navigation, scroll to the station, select it (a sort of map pin thing will appear by it) then chase it in supercruise at a low speed (you don't want to overshoot) and when you get 'safe disengage', er, disengage!

Well that didnt help either. I ended up 10 km from it and still not able to get to it. The distance is growing

I know it sounds odd, but are you in reverse?

Does the 'desired speed' come from the bottom or the top of the speed indicator?

Nope. I was even trying that and then i really was getting bigger distance. Lol

I even put all energy to the engine to get more speed. But it dont seem to help.

Now im near giving up. Not gonna be able to do the contract and all the testing makes the fuel go down.
I tried to go so slow i could but when i jumped out of supercruise i was 10 km from it but as fast i get the lock on it the distance starts getting bigger again.
I'm maybe not the best pilote but wth.

Just a thought but, you mention you have the throttle setting on buttons 1 thru 4 ?
Just check you have used +25 +50 +75 etc and NOT the -25 -50 -75 ??
If you drop from SC when the blue 'dissengage' message is displayed you should be pointing at the station.

I have checked that. Well thats the problem when i dissengage inside the blue zone as it says i dont have the station before me, and i need to find it again but that means when i find it its 10 km from me, but i never get near it.
Either its a bug but i think that then other would have the same problem.

The strange thing is that i can do a contract to other station. That was the first contract, and then i get the contract to go toAlrai Sector KH-V B2-5. And its there i get the problem.

But ill gonna restart again and try it all over again.
