Took a delivery mission at Dahan, to deliver goods to Azeban for 4600, with a fine of 4900.

Launched, got to the letterbox and either the station or I teleported just as I was at exit point, and I ended up at the station wall and booooooom.

No option to get back my viper with 2 beams, 2 cannons, heatsink etc, even with well over 300,000 in the bank.

Re-spawned at Azeban, still with the mission list, but unable to hand over the cargo



Must remember this is Beta, logged the ticked with full description..... done good.

Check what the cargo is and just buy it from the market and deliver it to azeban. Unless buying the cargo costs more than 4900, then you're better off waiting for the fine.

However I will post something I wrote in another thread, but it needs to be said here!

Saying that, it baffles me that anyone goes to Dahan.

That station must have a higher kill count than any of us players. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Dahan Gateway has achieved Elite Status! in one of the future newsletters.

Interesting that you mentioned teleporting. I just started playing ED again after a week off, and I noticed that while landing on the pad, my ship started teleporting a few times, only by about a few metres but it was enough to make landing on the target a bit more of a pot luck affair. I definitely haven't witnessed my own ship teleporting like this inside the station before now.

Dahan is HAUNTED!! It's True!

On the topic of Dahan oddities...I was teleported twice.

Case 1:

I was ALMOST touching down on the pad, suddenly I was teleported to the left, ie the pad is now on the right. I was almost out of the landing pad HUD.

Case 2:

After I had centred myself on the pad and slowly coming down vertically, I was teleported very close to the entrance, and I had to fly all the way to my pad again.

Then there is also the other odd thing with jumping into Dahan.

I warped into Hyperspace fine... destination Dahan.... and I never came out of Hyperspace. Had to Alt-Tab out to kill the ED process.

Maybe in a few hundred years, people would sit around a bar and tell stories of pilots lost in Witchspace jumping into Dahan during the "old days"

But I'm not a trader, I'm opportunist. If there's a job paying the right figures (particularly for the right danger) I'm there.

I'd be less gutted if I got jumped by 4 vipers and 2 anacondas and being wasted, at least I could do something about those, but no ones yet figured out how to shoot a station.

Wish we could grab an asteroid or a comet & lob it into collision course with a station...

Or maybe not, everyone would be doing that.

Maybe we do get an occasional mission to bust a planet- or stationbound asteroid or comet, would be fun.

I feel your pain, I've died a couple of times and ended up with a SW and a 1000 CR.

Still its beta and that's what we signed up for, the game is not out yet.

Crossed fingers it does get fixed before release or else there's gonner be rage :smilie:
