Arrived in Colonia With All My Ships Some Discussion on What to do and misc

Arrived made some big $$s on exploring I have 3 great ships almost completely engineered.
Went to Jacques Cafe ... BIG Disappointment unless I've missed something you fly thru a few tunnels YAWN.... pick up some floating liquor .. is that it cmmdrs?
Bit bored with exploring for a while and seem a little stuck as to what to do next now I'm here. Engineer ships yes done .. the missions are average. The views are to DIE for so much space to explore. But cant do that always.

Ideas places to go and see put up your comments commdrs. Glad I'm here just need to find a reason to be and stay here.?

There is not a lot to do in Colonia unless you are seriously interested in BGS gardening, with the disadvantage that a couple of large squadrons have nothing better to do than do their own BGS gardening and will crush any kind of opposition...

Great as an exploration base, or for getting a lot of engineering done in a short time. (both ship and on-foot)

Well there are all the more omni-capable engineers to unlock.

There are RESs of all sorts and CZs for combat, life forms to add to your Codex, it doesn’t count as exploring in inhabited systems.

Apart from Thargoid related combat anything you could do in the bubble you should be able to do here.

When I visited I just unlocked the ship engineers, pinned some blueprints, and did a bit of exploration.

Apparently there are also some experimental habitats in the area to visit, I missed those.

Well, that's no big deal, they're simply Lagrange Clouds (albeit particularly dense) with a beacon and lots of Belugas. To find them, simply do passenger VIP missions, they pretty much all go to these.

I spent a lot of time in Colonia but IMO Colonia has lost a lot of relevance since we have the Shuttle: it used to be the last frontier, you wanted to go there just so as to be there. That was lost with fast travel, and today Colonia needs to be "improved" to justify CMDRs still going there. As other CMDRs said, Colonia still has a special feeling but speedy engineering and a plateform to the Western and Central regions are the name of the game. Check Foster Terminal in Coeus, one of the coolest stations in the game.
