Horizons Arriving near small Blue Star, environmental hazard while on passenger mission HELP?

So during a passenger mission on transit, I ended up getting caught in a neutron star/pulsar/black hole? I'm not exactly sure for the next 5 mins I attempted to engage hyperdrive but your ship is forced in all random direction by the gravitational pull, OR WHAT SEEM TO BE RANDOM like come on. Every SINGLE attempt I made before my FTL drive broke down, regardless of what direction the hyperdrive path was I couldn't align with it. Every time I selected a new destination if the alignement vector was almost in front of me it would force me back, HELL one of the vectors was towards the star/neutron and you know what it does? Points me in the opposite direction, OH good, now it defies physics, great! Is this some kind of joke? I doubt very much the star is sentient, so is this frontier's way of making sure you die if you encounter a star like this? like what the hell?

So I'm looking for any help on telling me what else I was suppose to do, I was deploying heat syncs, repairing system as fast as I could trying to hyperdrive out.

Hey,
When you entered the system, were you in the blue jet cone or did you fly into it after arrival?
When you entered the system, was your throttle set to zero? (this is very important)

If you get caught in the jet cone and get too close to the star and drop out of SC, there is very little chance of survival.
The best thing to do is to reduce the risk of getting caught in it in the first place.

Fly safe.

Thanks for the reply, I don't think there was a jet, although I'm not certain. I did set my throttle to 0 and as I arrived I was forced out of SC and proceeded to watch myself die for the next 5 minutes regardless of what I did. :/

It also made me think, we should have a different colored bookmark to mark locations that are hazardous like this. and now even though I respawned my ship is still creaking and cracking as if it was still stuck in it.

OK, it sounds like a bug. I'd report it as a few other CMDR's have experienced the same.
I might stay away from NS and WD stars for a little while if this is the case.

Enable supercruise, and once your drive is all charged up and you get the message to align with your trajectory, boost. You may need to launch a heatsink or risk some heat damage in the process.

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I lost a cutter (21 mil rebuy).
I'm afraid that, once you are caught in the "cone" and drop out of supercruise, there is no escape...

The same aswell. The cracking sounds continued after I respawned. Minor bug.

At least in the Beta, When you initiate a jump to another system, the star type is shown on your HUD. If it's a white dwarf, neutron star, black hole (or a brown dwarf: LT or Y) throttle to 0 before you arrive and you should be fine.
