PvP Ars Technica weighs in on ganking at the rescue ships...

"Of course, as serious as this all is, it wouldn't be Elite without player shenanigans. According to numerous posts and tweets, players attempting to participate in the rescue missions in open multiplayer are having to deal with not just the environmental hazards of the damaged stations but also with other players attacking them—either because they're role-playing as Thargoid sympathizers or, more likely, just for the lulz. In fact, Frontier has apparently anticipated exactly these shenanigans and is selling both "xeno hunter" and "xeno ally" nameplates for players to display on their ships in-game."

The salt this game creates is endless.. [haha]

A little known fact, is FD sells the salt back to the supermarkets, which you then put on your dinner, and driveways, when it's icy.

FD tried selling the salt to the councils, but apparently they're too cheap and won't pay for it, hence why they rarely bother gritting the roads.

It's also why FD HQ stayed open through the snow and ice, and all FDs employees made it to work.

So much salt to go around.

The new "change for life" adverts warning you to "watch the salt", is actually nothing to do with food either, it's an FD sponsored government message warning you about these forums.

Ok, I'll stop now. :p

I was in The Oracle , I was never attacked but I had to abandon open because the waiting line to dock to the rescue ship was insane. Thargoids I met in USS , they attack if you stay close to them. I am a thargoid fan , if I find a player trying to kill a thargoid I am going to shoot his .

Griefing is blown out out of proportion, it’s no big deal, super easy to avoid and the only thing to lose is credits that are super easy to make in this game.
