There I was on a moon orbiting a gas giant prospecting for arsenic when I stumbled unto the wreck of an SRV. "Another escape pod!"....I shopped through the wreckage and scooped up some Palladium as well as the escape pod but that one only out of habit. After searching and finding useless deposits I decide to move on as obviously there is no arsenic on this empty rock. My T9 descends and lands really close to my position and why? I do not know but it all seems a little more spectacular than usual.
Now I could go on the forums and cry and complain because I am having a hard time finding the bloody arsenic in the hope Michael Brookes will cave in, change parameters or put it on sale somewhere but that's not what I did....well not the reason I went on the forums.
As I approached my beautiful t9 (of which the bottom decals are not fixed as mentioned in the patch notes AHUM!) to board and dust off, three blips on my scanner catch my attention. "What the frack?!". They turn out to be two eagles and a sidewinder and they are heading straight for me! Really no time passes between me noticing their formation approaching and them ripping into my t9. In a reflex I dismiss my T9 and rev up the scarab's engine and start to flee. My T9 has the biggest baddest shield array credits can buy but from the ground it looks like she is getting hammered pretty hard while moving into orbit.
They then turn around and I have nowhere to go, their vapor trails clearly visible amongst the stars and coming closer. Then system security arrives unto the scene..."ho ho ho peeps what is going on here?" or something in that vein comes over the intercom and the ships that were after me are clearly not amused by that and rip into the system security ship.
Excrement seems to have hit the fan above me as lasers are being fired back and forth and the exhaust trails twirl around eachother like twitly things that twirl and twirl and also twirl around eachother. Explosions, dogfights, they mean business it seems and I am just sitting there...watching....I forgot running and just enjoyed the show. It was like a cross between Buck Rogers and Star Wars and it was awesome! In fact best bit of prospecting that i have done till date and i didn't find ANY arsenic.
So good I just had to post about it.
