Artifact live stream?

Hey it would be awesome if someone could set up a live stream of an artifact in space. I'm sure all us artifact thread junkies would love to just sit an log the tones. After a day of live streaming, who knows what pattern might emerge?

I believe that as long as you keep a piece of jettisoned cargo targeted, it will remain in space. If someone gave me an artifact or I managed to stumble across one, I'd do it in a heartbeat, especially since I work from home. 9 hours of uninterupted signal sequence being broadcast to the world to decode. :)

Edit: Hell... I have some experiments I want to try on it myself. Most of them using in-game mechanics.

The trouble is in-game mechanics. All items jettisoned from a player ship degrade over time until they self destruct. I'm not sure about items jettisoned from destroyed NPC ships (which I am given to understand is the source of the items)...

It's not as simple as eject the item, and leave the stream up for hours at a time. You have to recollect and reeject the item every ~5 minutes. Though if NPC drops don't degrade... If you could find one that way, you could get a long, uninterrupted signal...

What I want to know, which has still gone unanswered is if two different players observing the same artifact at the same time hear the same sounds.
