ARX for Odyssey Only?

I decided to pick up Elite Dangerous again, and started looking at a way to burn the ARX that I had saved up.. and I noticed that almost everything in the store requires the Odyssey expansion to buy.

So to make sure I understand this correctly, Frontier wants me to spend money in order to spend the money that I've already spent? I'm not going to buy this buggy, broken expansion.

The store had hiccups Thursday (I think it was then) so in fixing one hiccup it looks like another has been introduced.
Ping @sallymorganmoore and with any luck it will get brought to the team's attention on Monday.

Just drop to 3.8, buy what you want then jump back into 4.0 and your purchase is there. This is very bad trying to force players to upgrade when there is no need whatsoever. Plus makes no business sense, here have access to 4.0 for completely free and then remove the ability to make any revenue from that. Strange decision indeed.

It only affects the "Horizons 4.0" tech demo which isn't really good for anything except scaring people away from Odyssey. The real Horizons works as expected.
