I want to suggest crazy thing, but I hope you will catch the main idea of it.

Like a developer I understand that Elite doesn't bring a lot of money for FDevs, and as a player I want to have more content and sweet things in this great game, and I think this will solve a part of the problem.

  • Extended free ARX weekly count.
  • Free N count of ARX every month.
  • Access for premium paints/colors for your ship/suit/weapon
  • etc
In my opinion, if it have fair price, it will be better thing for constant players and FDevs supporting. We will receive a real good stuff which doesn't affect gameplay and can support developing of our lovely game.
To be honest, I would immediately subscribe.

I'm good. While I think your suggestion at face value is a good balance between P2W and cosmetics it just straddles the line too close for me and could easily be abused in the future. Personally I think they should release periodic ship pack DLC's but that's just me.

As long as it's limited strictly to cosmetics (and it offers a benefit over the current system/prices while also maintaining the current system), then why not?
