Going to hazard a guess Frontier's accountants named it. As an acronym for "Aggressively Ramping X-efficiency" as they try to maximise profits.

I don't think it stands for anything, but I do hope Logitech's lawyers don't think it's confusing having two game-related things with the same name.
Logitech were there first, but I'm sure Frontier must have done their due diligence and checked before using the same term. Yes, I'm sure they must have.
