Newcomer / Intro As a backer, what am I entitled too?

So I bought the game and a few other things as a backer, but so long ago I cannot remember what the extras where.
Then I also bought the expansion pass.

Now looking at my account it states:- " If you have pre-ordered the Elite: Dangerous Mercenary Edition, your order is now complete and the game is available to download — the ‘Pre-order’ status shown below is incorrect. Please use the download button on the right to start your download."

There is indeed a download button, but I don't recall ordering the Mercenary edition, I don't even know what it is, and why do they use the word "if" if they have a live download button for me?

Am I entitled to this because of the expansion pass?
I don't want to download it if I am not entitled to it.

the Mercenary Edition is a bundle of extra's that everyone who ordered before release day is entitled too, download away dude

Cheers, though another concern I have, will downloading this overwrite my current download with the backer extras I have?
For instance I start in a Cobra with a fat wad of cash.

If you already have the game installed why are you downloading it again?

The data about what you're entitled to is stored server side and is related to your login information. The mercenary edition is identical to what you already have installed.

Thank you, does this mean I get a free Eagle as well as a Cobra then?

Your other ships will be stored at a station, go to a shipyard and look at my stored ships tab.
