PvP As a non PvP player, I love PvP

Hey everyone, I have never killed another player and I guess I never will. My whole group plays in open and you PvP players make our galaxy such a wonderfully dangerous place to be.
When we go to CGs or Maia or Sol, we have to plan it all out like a military excercise, form up in wings, plan out our high wakes etc. Such good fun!
The tension rises for the whole night as we look at our scanner and hail anyone we see and if something big comes for us and does not respond to hails, well, we scream like girls (truth is some of our group are girls IRL so that is ok) and high wake the heck out of there!
Anyway, this is a big THANK YOU to you all for making our galaxy such a great place to fly!
Keep doing what you do (you would anyway) and keep making elite “dangerous”!

Thank you, I like to think it is almost like we are in a strange live role play or LARP, and the PvPers are being the bad guys just for our benefit.
Other wise this is space euro truck simulator!

Yeah, Ryan and co have done a good job with it. The discord bot is a pretty good matchmaker at this point.

I don't think so.

Filling open with players that don't want to be there, would lead to a lot of negativity.
This group is large and influential and there would inevitably be drastic changes to the way Open functions.

Careful what you which for. I may not end up the way you hope. PG and Solo are the best insurances that the rag tag nature of Open is kept.

What I enjoy is tension associated with every single encounter. Of course this is multiplied at CGs or around Engineer systems. Usually a hearty "o7 CMDR!" will lead to a friendly chat. Depending on where this happens, the tension can bleed away quickly, or expand to eleventy. Open makes this a more enjoyable game.
