As Biggy would say... "Where the paper at????"

Hey guys. I have just returned after several months out of the game. I need to make some quick coin and all my old tricks seem to have been patched. So where's paper at??

Sightseeing runs from Robigo to Sothis. You've only got a couple of weeks though as once the next patch drops then board flipping is being taken away to be replaced with sitting in a station waiting for the boards to naturally refresh.

No tricks necessary, take a T-9 or Cutter to some station and get allied with the factions there and most system states will provide you with stackable transport or source-and-return missions.

Currently doing In order of profit When allied in system, Getting to allied is the issue you have to take reputation and low money first as rewards quicker now but still boring

Passenger missions, you don't pick up VIPs only normal passengers zero risk (zzzzzzzzz) , pick up VIPs = equal more risk and being shot at but more money... (zz)
Exploration... (zz) lots to see...
Stacked Cargo missions...(zzzzzz)
Winged cargo missions ( need PG for this ) with 1 each per player in T9 or cutters under 700 items per wing mission, collect cargo each then share missions 1 at a time between wings and all 4 in wing can claim all 4 missions but they only did cargo for one 1 each in fact (z)

Still doing Stacked Assassin missions in one destination location (you need the correct ship for this one or its high risk taking down multi corvettes... realy risky but way way way way more active gameplay ( -zzzzzzzzzzz yes thats a minus you can be jumped at any time in system by your targets...) Take collector limpets for new for material grinding for new ships due in 3.3... youll be killing ships that can drop grade 5 items...

( Zs ) equals the likely hood of falling a sleep due to how little activity is needed... the more zzzzz the better for PC PS4 remote play use as well... so you can do other stuff on the PC or have lap top near by when playing on PS4...

Fdev will still be nerfing any thing that comes close to 100Mill per every hour 100% of the time as it will effect Mac and PC and Xbox users as well, these don't earn near that any more.
About 80mill is max now passenger missions per hour... Even though PS4 users have not been allowed the same exploits and bonus boosts that Mac PC and Xbox had with those Gold rushes while they were Microsoft and Mac exclusive bugs, betas, gold rushes...
So many PS4 player are still way behind and allways will be....

Or as Claptrap would say, "Where is all that cheddar!"

I've been in kind of a cooldown period where I'm flying casually while waiting for the update to drop. Currently hanging out in Ceos, Sothis, and Robigo.

1) Large ship haulage: Station to station inside Ceos and Ceos <-> Sothis.
2) Large ship VIP passenger: Ceos <-> Sothis and Sothis <-> Robigo. Don't bother with the wanted passengers. Plenty of safer passengers.
3) Medium ship haulage: Sothis (Sothis Mining) <-> Ceos

Once you get the system factions for each of these to allied, it's just casual, easy credits. I don't even bother to board hop most of the time. At allied, there are always enough haulage or passengers to fill my ship and enough data courier missions to fill up my transactions log for bonus credits.

Or you could do Road to Riches if you want credits and exploration.

I don't even bother to board hop most of the time.

Board flipping (hopping?) got nerfed..no?

NOPE not yet,..
It will be nerfed with an update to nerf it by having a dedicated single server for mission generation that will be done after 3.3 release..

Untill then its continue as normal as all plaforms continue to access split mission generation multi servers system per play group but this old system is going to still be the slow loading board, the update is meant to decrease board load times as thats all the server will do generate missions boards and nothing else ...
Untill then You can still continue to jump ahead of the 10min mission board cycle by jumping from Open - solo - PG - open still, if the mission board is missing the missions types you want... On PS4 console this still requires you play for PS+ or you can't do this unlike PC... untill you reach the max missions for that type or total missions per session...

Or thats what Fdev says was happening...

It definitely still works. I find that solo and PG boards are often the same, but open is always different.

Yep but Solo and private group still cycle missions... just as open will...
Youll just run into the max allowed per mission type wall that you can store and accept... the values change per mission type but they still cycle on PS4...

It makes Assassin missions when stacked very interesting as bounty targets can end up shooting each other in the same instance, instead of shooting at you...

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/446165-Implementation-of-a-dedicated-mission-server
Greetings Commanders,

In the next chapter of Beyond (3.3), we will be implementing and migrating mission data to a new separate server. While this mainly affects the back-end of the game, you will see some changes to missions in-game.

As it currently stands, missions are on a shared server with other elements of the game. This has the risk of problems with missions causing outages and stability issues for the rest of the game if there are technical hiccups.

So, what benefits will we see by moving missions to their own separate server?

Any issue (generated by missions) which can cause a server outage or stability problems will no longer result in players disconnecting. Instead the missions will be unavailable for a period of time.
If such issues do occur, the previous servers will be able to act as a back-up, offering better opportunities to recover game content as quickly as possible.
We may see a slight decrease in mission board loading times.
Missions will now be consistent across game modes (Solo/Open/Private Group).

It's also worth noting that, as a result of a dedicated 'mission server', there will be a removal/significant reduction of the method of refreshing mission boards by logging in and out of the game ("board flipping"). While we understand that this is a practice utilised by some* players, this was never the intended use of the mission system.

Even though there is a small number of players doing this, we will increase the credit payout of missions (by 10%) across the board so all players using the mission boards as intended will see a net profit. As a result of this, some mission reward choices will see boosted influence, reputation and rank gains. As always when it comes to missions, we will continually review and balance them where needed.

Ultimately, this is a healthy step for our overall servers and game experience.
