Ascension into Alpha level - thanks to a forum member

There are situations in one's life - very few and very far between - that one encounters kindness from surprising directions. None more surprising than from someone only known through a forum and a shared passion.

Today, a fellow forumite contacted me and told me that they were in the process of upgrading my pledge level in order to give me alpha access to Elite: Dangerous. I need not say that I was stunned at such an act and that I find it difficult to express it in words what it means to me.

So, without any more incoherent babbling, I wish to publicly thank Liqua for this extreme kindness.

I am humbled.

Liqua must be quite well off to do things like this, and to buy the privilege of naming the Founders World. He did a good job on the latter!

As someone on the other end of the wealth scale, I applaud his generosity!

Liqua is clearly a very generous and charitable individual. My hat is off.

Might I also suggest that Liqua sees some value in having Susimetsa's opinion on a playable E: D sooner rather than later?

Well, I have been rather vocal about some of my worries about the gameplay etc. Truth to be said, I know not the reason for this kindness.

Well, consider this. Liqua gets to practice his pirate technique on yet one more person in Alpha! Just goes to show there IS honor amongst pirates...

Aside from all that, good show Liqua, I tip my hat to you and would like to express my gratitude to you for your generosity.

The community appreciates you for your input into the game, both financially and intellectually. Your actions are well thought out. (For a pirate! Har-de-Har)

I doff my cap to Liqua, I know he donated a small fortune during the KS as well, top bloke....shame he's chosen the pirates life, I don't really want to blast him out of space but hey ho ;)
