Roller Coasters Ascent - Wing Coaster

Hello.

I've been playing around with Plant Coaster since just before the official release but never really spent much time here which I now regret having just been looking through the forum!!

Anyway, thought I'd share the only really finished "thing" I've done... I tend to start something then get bored and move on to something else...

Anyway, I like making stuff that would be reasonably viable in real life, so I tend not to go in for really over-themed things... In that sense I'm pretty happy with this... with the caveat that it would presumably be horrifically expensive to build (but still possible).

It's a wing coaster based loosely on the idea of being dragged to the top of an ascent by some kind of malevolent force and then dropped... I didn't get too much into queue theming for this one but I'd imagine it would something similar to Oblivion at Alton Towers if you know it... Some kind of science based stuff, part of a research centre which has lost control of this force that it discovered. It's a double lift hill, the idea being that the disorientation is increased on the second lift.......

The right side is first and then the left... I prefer the right but I'd be interested to hear others opinions!

Welcome to the madness ;)

That's an excellent coaster that I very much enjoyed riding. Especially that slow roll into the drop after the 2nd lift. Very nicely done., And the whole appearance is otherworldly, as in set on Pluto or something :)

Glad you liked it! I enjoy that slow roll over as well... I was going for maximum disorientation on the second lift hill with the wonky wooden things, topped with added mind f**kery as you tip over (or under) into the final rush of the ride...

I'd never actually been on a wing coaster when I made this, but I now have and I have to say that they have rocketed up to the top of my preferred coaster types... probably only slight behind inverted as I struggle to get past Nemesis as the best ride of my life........

Welcome indeed, i agree BH, it feels a bit alien...
Nice ride!

Glad you like it!!!

Yeah, I imagine that this force that's dragging you up this ascent is somewhat other-wordly... Whether that's a discovery on earth or another planet I will leave to my guests to decide.. [wacky]
