Drew is probably best known in the universe of Elite for his official novel “Elite: Reclamation” which charted the rise, fall and rise again of a young Senator caught by cruel intrigue between the Federation and the Empire. A fan of the original game from way back in 1984 he’s still mooching around space in a rather second hand looking Cobra Mk3. In lieu of being able to write another Elite book, he’s currently working on his own science fiction series known as the “Shadeward Saga”. Book one is already out, with book two currently at the editors and due to be published this autumn. Drew is highly qualified as an author, having a ‘C’ grade O-Level in English Literature to prove it.
CMDR Wagar, alongside fellow Loremaster Dave ‘Selezen’ Hughes, is in the process of consolidating the available Elite lore (which spans the period from the original game to the current game) in order to try and make it all make sense. These articles are available online, but are a work in progress which will probably never be completed; partly because it takes a great deal of time and partly because vast quantities of the lore don’t make much sense anyway.
When he’s not supercruising or writing Drew can usually be found mucking about with a telescope or his recalcitrant supercharged roadster, which does occasionally work. He likes antique clocks, his favourite colour is dark green and he deals with door to door salespersons with a small plasma accelerator. He is married, has two kids, a dog, a cat and an indeterminate number of fish.
Drew would like to point out that he is restricted under an active NDA from Frontier Developments and thus won’t be able to answer questions regarding future in-game events.
