Asp commanders - a couple of questions

For those in Asps and who have flied them, but moved onto other ships......

1. How decent is it in a fight?
2. What is the maximum cargo capacity you have had?

The Asp is the next logical progression from my Cobra (fighting) and Type 6 (trading) vessels. Ideally, it can do both

Thanks,
Jon Jaymes
ASp will out do your cobra...

I'm just gonna go ahead and say that the Vulture is cheap. Dirt cheap. ;)

Except for the loadout costs (around 11m IIRC).

BUT... the Vulture pays for itself in no time. It's my biggest money maker at present. I've got a Sidewinder, Cobra, Type-6 and Vulture in my hangers... all upgraded. I know it's a bit wasteful but I like keeping my stuff. I did have a Viper too but once I earned enough to outfit my Vulture it got retired as I didn't like the biggest weapons being underneath and the Vulture out performs the Viper in every way.

Oh yeah... this is about the Asp though isn't it... Personally I keep going to buy the Asp for exploration stuff but then I realise that I am trying to grind my Imperial ranks to get a Clipper but I might get the new Courier for exploration instead of the Asp. TOO MANY CHOICES!

I'm out exploring in my "combat" Asp and I still have a jump range of 29ly. I decided to head out (currently about 7000ly out) and only swapped in a fuel scoop. She's a keeper alright:)

What I like about the Asp is that I can do everything reasonably well without having to change anything. That works well for someone like me who is lazy. I can trade almost as well as a T6 yet still decide to go pick up some bounties without switching a thing.

My old ASP was worth around 50m. Very good allrounder, love it.
Try 3 Pulses and 3 Multicannons for fights. With SCBs, mirrored Hull and HullEnhancements it´s a boss in any RES
