I'm sure this isn't the greatest of builds, but it was what I used when I gave mining the old college try. The weapons are completely optional, but I did need them once.

Not bad, these days I'd only take one class 2 mining laser, the collector limpets are far slower than they used to be. I have 5 at a time on my python and they struggle to keep up with one laser.

If you change your mind, this is the Asp build I'd recommend for mining.

If you can afford it, however, the Python is a better bet.

Mining is enjoyable. Kinda tranquil. Just avoid listed RES sites as you'll likely get attacked by pirates.

If your mining just for mats don't equip a refinery the limpet will egnore everything and just pickup mats for crafting.
