Asp Explorer question, and maybe others?

Do some ships come with optional paint jobs? I know you can get them from the store I have a OH one for my Cobra III for ....... reasons .........
Anyway I finally had the enough chips and bought an Asp Explorer last night and it came with a Gold paint option.
So is this normal? are there some other ships that you get an option for paint "out of the box"?

acually no ... there have been some paintjob given for a varity of early orders of horizons --- i got some for my cobra which i even didn't notice till i read about it in this forum.

I have about four skins for the Cobra Mk. III that I got for free, and the Midnight Black skin for all ships as part of the Black Monday pre-order deal.

The Asp gold paint job was a giveway to some players, got it too. I think it was for people who bought horizons before they changed how they sold it if memory serves me right.

You might also, if you pre-ordered Horizons, find that you have the Midnight Black scheme (actually, this was a full set, for every ship in the game at that time).

yes sort of, I was a beta purchaser but for first 3 months I had ED I couldn't get the game to run in any online mode,
Frontier and some great helpers on this forum finally got me working and I do like this game I have 199 hours as of last night and I have almost no gaming time in the average week.

Some paintjobs are giveaways, but usually they must be bought in the store.
It doesn't matter if you buy the ship later in the game, as long as your account has been eligable for the paint job.

Yupp black friday paint job on my combat spec rares runner Asp, the python has it as well.. but its not as good at rares running... but it can smuggle more cargo .... choices choices
