Ship Builds & Load Outs asp explorer

i`m wanting to start a trip to sagittarius in an asp explorer but not sure which way to kit it out..any advice would come in handy, obviously shields, fuel scoop and an advance discovery scanner, auto field maintenance would i need everything to be a class 1 and rating of "A"...i have 36 mil ...but not wanting to go mad kitting it out unnecessary, also a good station to kit me out with what i need ...thanks to all with their input in advance [h=1][/h]

D rated life support/sensors/pwr dist and thrusters (d=lightest). Take the best fuel scoop and FSD you can afford (a5 fsd + a5 or a6 scoop)

If you plan on landing on planets and want to take an srv then the g2 class vehicle hanger is the lightest but will only carry 1 srv. You will probably want shields too, D4 shield gen + 3D0 shield boosters gives the best range/shield strength option (D3 shields in my opinion aren't upto withstanding planetary landing knocks).

You should be able to get 32-34Ly jump range with everything you need.

+ray gateway sells asp+modules at 15% discount.

i was just wondering if i will need heat sinks and afmu`s ..never used these modules before so will need a bit of research on how to use them ..probably turn to you tube before setting off

Ray Gateway in Diaguandri. They should have the ship and most modules. Although last I checked they didn't have the A6 fuel scoop, but an a5 will do just fine.

If you don't plan on landing you can get away with D3 shields which will give you a bit more range.

If your size 6 slot is open I'd go with a cheaper scoop (skip the A rated ones), makes power management easier too. Even a 6D will top up your tank before you're done scanning a star.
