Asp....spaceship or Lancaster bomber

Just got my new Asp, lovely ship superb. The best feature is the engine noise, reminds me of the Rolls Royce Merlin engines of a Lancaster bomber (you tube it).

I did buy it a bit too soon though, as I cant afford the FSD upgrade, but am working on it. The ship reminds me of an aggressive fast T6.

I've made the same observation :) just be careful with it, a LOT of people (including me) wreck it soon after getting one

I so want one of those just for the engine noise. It's like a swarm of angry bumblebees. :) I love hearing one fly past overhead in the Stations.

Oh well, only 5 mill more to go...

I have one, and the noise is a HOOT! It would be nice if the engine noise was the same when boosting (well, you know what I mean), but it is the normal 'turbo boost' noise. Working to get her up to Class A on all kit, but she can handle herself in a scrap despite having a numpty on the controls!

I love fitting 6 multicannons on it and then you get the ratta tat tat to go with the engine noise, perfect, now we need to find a dam, over-hanging rock or something.

I love the ship. It really is an industrial beast. It rattles, shakes, belches and farts like a templar. I went from an ASP to the Clipper and am still recovering from that...

I have enough to buy one if I sell my Cobra and my Viper but then I'll only have a couple of million to spend on doing it up so I'm going to wait until I can afford it WITHOUT selling the others. Then I'm going to fit it out as a long distance explorer and disappear into the depths of the galaxy for a few weeks.

That rumbling, complaining growl as you drop your landing gear and slow down on an approach to an outpost... Very cool.

Agreed nUt, for me that is the best moment of any run. I'm tempted to stick with it because flying anything else just won't feel the same.

:) That was my thought exactly. Flying a giant bomber, (never did load missiles on weapons on mine however)
Approaching an outpost boosting 'til you're nearly there, then roll and pull the stick back while trusting downwards, ending up just in front of the landing pad (With the Asps' engines roaring) :) It put a smile on my face.

I'm definatly getting a new Asp, for now however, busy upgrading the Clipper I could afford after doing 100+ traderuns with the Asp

Again, congratulations on getting your Asp, hope you're enjoying the ship as much as I did (if not more), it's a thrill to fly
