Asp weapons-purchase location needed.

Does anybody have any idea where I can get A-Rated weaponary for the Asp? At present I have visited many a station but the most I can come up with is D-Rated for the medium hardpoints and E-Rated for the small hardpoints.

Any assistance/pointers will be sincerely appreciated. Empire space is preferable, but willing to travel anywhere.

Unless you are looking for rail guns and plasma accelerators you won't find much in the way of A and B rated weapons that fit in a class 2 or smaller slot.

It's a very common misconception that weapon ratings work the same way as equipment ratings. They do not, there's a fixed rating for each size/type combination for weapons, so for example, C2 Fixed Beam Lasers are always rated D. Always, no exception. A higher class (ie. larger size of the same type) would be rated higher, and if the modded weapons such as overcharged or focused make it back in, they might also be, but that's the only variation.

See the rating for weapons not as the 'quality' that is stands for with equipment, but as a measure for that size/type combination's effectiveness under ideal circumstances, disregarding possible downsides like range or heat.

Ignore weapons' ratings, they mean nothing. The only things to worry about are the class, weapon type, and mounting type (fixed, gimballed, etc)

Gimballed Beam lasers with signature track assist. Empire space - Wealthy industrial (forget which system now).

In any event, to be more specific, looking for gimballed signature track assist rail-guns for the Asp.

Oh yeah, sorry, I tried those, but they drained my power way too quick. Found gimballed multicannons to be of more use, even though they're rated F2. Can't seem to find any better ones for the medium hardpoints. My small hardpoints are gimballed E1 beam lasers, can't find better ones there either.

Like shrinkshooter said, the ratings on weapons mean nothing. All class 1 beam lasers have the same rating, there are no better or worse ones, for example.
