Assassination Mission Contacts

Can we tone this down a bit? It seems like 1 in 4 missions send me off to find a contact. That wouldn't be so bad, but it means you're just sitting there waiting for the contact. For whatever reason they normally fly behind you and drop; often in the exclusion zone of a star.

If we must keep this silly mechanic, can we at least have them ask us to drop and have them follow us? That would be less prone to annoying mishaps

Seems to me they drop close to the star if that's where you are. I started trying to meet them further away and found it was better. So .. are you enticing them into the corona? 🤔

I typically have a lot of missions, so I don't know when I'm in a system with a contact. Jump to a system, scoop to top off my fuel and see "You're tough to find". Scan through the contacts and I'll see them 500 Ls out. Instead of just dropping, it seems they're programmed to fly behind you and drop. I'm sitting still, but they still try to fly behind me. Just drop!

I do a lot of assassination missions. More often than not I get one of the following:

1. They drop in the exclusion zone. I drop, low wake and have to wait for them to show up again
2. I get interdicted by some other ship and have to wait around for them to show up again
3. "You're tough to find", then they turn around and head to some planet 400k Ly away before saying "Please follow my wake"
4. They just take forever to show up
5. They never show up and I have to jump out and jump back in
6. They show up on the other side of a planet/star, and then poof. 1 contact lost.

I'd prefer to get rid of it all together, but if we have to keep it, having them follow us would make more sense.

Alternatively, send me after a wanted ship with the objective of doing enough damage until they submit and give me the information I want. Maybe a contact at the nav beacon that will give me the information I want if I give them a few million in bounty vouchers. Anything but wasting time sitting in supercruise.
 
If fraking annoying, I got the very same problem, 5 times I jumped out of system and 5 times the contact drop his wake inside star exclusion zone !
How the hell the devs are unable to fix this error ?! My mission contact me right after the jump, when I am near star, then he always drops inside exclusion zone ! I tried 2 times to get near, got serious heat damage, please fix this codding error !
 
Every time I start doing this again, I get one of these contacts instead of the location of the target, and I remember again why I don't bother with assassination missions.
