Assassination mission stacking is ridiculous

A visual-ish example of what I'm talking about:

If I'd wanted to trade back and forth beforehand for longer, I could have stacked it much, much further...

So yeah... CMDRs, have fun taking advantage of this until the behavior gets fixed!

of course trading should be the only way to make money lets remove everything else from the game that rewards you something and rename it in spacetrade sim 2K15

LOL, this is like attorney billing. I have 10 case files on my desk and I bill them all for each hour they sit on my desk…whether they are open or not :D

Surely this is a bug ? Title sounds like its an exploit / balance complaint.

Or that NPC went by a lot of different names :)

This bugs amused me for some time, as much of a bug as it is you still make less money than trading... how depressing is that? :(

I admit it pays a lot and it should be changed slightly but not by much. At the moment the only efficient way to make money is through trading, no other career choice will ever pay out more per hour than trading.

Anything that pays you more or similar to that of trading is okay in my books.

I did this when I first saw them sometime ago, I maybe had 20 on the go! Gets a bit repetitive after a while though, I find just jumping from system to system (anarchy to tech), hitting the nav beacon or eyeing up SC targets to be a lot more fun.

This is definitely a bug, as one pirate should not complete many missions for different pirates.

Bounty hunting could definitely use a credit boost too.

Unfortunately you don't mention the time it takes to get the USS contract update and find the USS of the target. I did two of these last night and in the time it took I could have earned the same or more money from regular bounty hunting.

They are probably from different stations and factions, perhaps more than one person wants them dead,

No harm in working for more than one person.

This is a bug for sure. The NPC's often have different names.

Not a big bug considering this still pales in comparison to trading profits

Well it depends, this could be a exploit, but if he has just gathered them from systems as he did other missions it's easy to rack them up and then polish them off once you finish the transport missions, I actually do this more with slave missions now, you can make 30k ish per slave mission, and they have 150hr timer, that means you have about 3 days to rack them up, and I've had 50 before.

Let me see if I got this glitch right... you just grab as many assassination missions as possible and killing one target will complete all or several of the missions?

It pays much because you can take the same mission 40 times and then kill 1 general and get the money for all 40. There is nothing wrong with the reward money otherwise. Should be ticketed though. We cant do anything about it except exploit it since it gets known now to everyone.

If three people hire me to kill the same person, they will all be satisfied if that person is dead. This is not a bug.

However, there is currently a bug were some NPCs are counting as the target for missions of NPCs of different names.

Maybe it IS a bug and will be fixed, but logically I can see a reason for it.

IF some nasty Rogue, say a Lord D. Vader, from the Empire ran amok in the Alliance systems could it not be that multiple people would put an assassination on his head?.

The sad part is trading in a high end ship is still more money than that because of all the time it takes to collect these missions....

To be fair, multiple organizations might want the same pirate dead , so having multiple assassination missions completed for the same target isn't completely unrealistic (I'm aware this isn't what happened here)
