Newcomer / Intro Assassination Mission: Talk to informant?

Hello everyone,

I started an assassination-mission and jumped to the target system. After scanning the signal there I got a message which said that the target is located in another system, so I jumped there. Now I don't know how to proceed, the mission objective tells me to speak to an informant which is even named here, but I can't find him. I've been sitting by the nav-beacon for quite some time now and can't figure out where to go or how to speak to that contact. How can I do this?

I've already searched on the internet and I found a reddit-topic which explained that this happens once in a while but unfortunately it doesn't tell how I can resolve this situations..

EDIT:
So I got contacted after I enterd Supercruise and even had a Low Wake as a target. I set it as my target and wanted to go there, but I failed since the low wake was literally inside or right on the surface, I orbited the star a few times and was confused first. It was unreachable since getting close caused my heat to rise to a critical level. Was this a bug or what happened here? I mean I can't supercruise into a star..

Just jump to another system and come back. The informant should respawn when you're in supercruise (this time not too close to the star, hopefully).

Move away from the star, drop out of supercruse and re-enter it again. This will reset the instance and the contact will reappear soon after, this time away from the star.

and yes it sounds like a bug that the low wake was that close to the star.

Good to know that I can 'reset' the position of the Wake by exiting an reentering supercruise!
