Assassination missions balancing

Hi,

accepted an assassination mission, required combat rank was mostly harmless and with 50k payout. Should be an easy mission I thought...
Target was a Python in a wing with two Vultures...
A single Python isnt a problem but with two buddies....

Am I missing something? Had to escape because when I focused on a target the other two ships melt down my shield...
Am I just too stupid or too bad to fight three ships at the same time or is this mission a bit overkill?

Same here also, and exactly the same setup as OP, python + 2 expert vultures. Cost me a rebuy in the end sadly. New AI is great but the level balancing is a bit out of whack at the moment.

For 50K it's obviously not worth it. Was your rating "Mostly Harmless"? the payout indicates it. I like these new harder assassination missions. If someone was trying to kill me i would get two Vulture wingmen.

Yea it does seem buggy atm. I just did a mission for 200k and I ended up only facing an eagle and 2 sidewinders......
