Assassination missions counteroffer bug workaround.

Sorry if this has already been posted. I've felt frustrated with the assassination missions but figured a possible workaround to avoid getting the counteroffer first. I figured that this would benefit a few players here, so hence this post.

In order to avoid the counteroffer in assassination missions do the following:

1. Upon the initial Bulletin Board message, pay attention if the target is announced to have any affiliations with any factions.

2. If the mission description announces the target faction and lists several alternate starsystems, locate the 1st USS in a system that has no such faction, for this ensures that you don't get the counteroffer first.

3. In case that the targets faction is not mentioned, and there are multiple systems to look for USS, go to one that has no space stations if possible. This also ensures that you don't get the counteroffer first.

For example, let's say that you are looking for a target that is said to be alligned with some Lave-based faction, but the mission description lists Lave, Diso and Leesti as possible locations. Go either to Diso or Leesti for the 1st USS. If you go to Lave, chances are that you meet the counteroffer first and the mission will become corrupt.

Hope this helps.

Confirmed yesterday that not all the assassination mission description declare targets faction but some do. Nevertheless, this method seem to be working. I also found another one, but it includes a chance getting you wanted.

I read from reddit that somebody suggested that whenever you meet counteroffer, shoot him before he reaches the end of transmission or the mission gets updated and therefore corrupted. However it's bit risky as you will get wanted for shooting legit pilot and therefore might get in trouble with system authorities. Try it at your own risk. In anarchy system it is safe, but if it's high security system, you can get killed.
