Assassination Missions Supercruise only?

Just started doing a few assassination missions and am finding every single one seems to be in supercruise and no longer in USS. Is the only way to accomplish these with an FSD interdictor now?

I've found targets in both supercruise and in signal sources, I recommend a interdictor

You can always try to follow them and drop into their wake when they drop out of SC. If the target is a pirate you can also try to get him/her to interdict you. It's also possible to still come across them in normal space as mentioned already if you're lucky, but yeah, an interdictor is a good thing to have around.

Still not sure if a Frame Shift Wake Scanner is helpful or not... they tend to jump to other systems, but by the time I get there they're nowhere around. Not sure if I'm just too slow, or if they "magically" reappear back in the original system. The last time it happened, by the time I got back, their hull/components/shield were at full strength again, and they had a wingmate in tow. And I wasn't gone that long, either.

Thanks guys, ended up coughing up for an interdictor, clock was ticking down on my time limit and was finding nothing in USS apart from pirates and fed's. Managed to pull both targets I needed and destroy them and ran out of the system with a 13k bounty lol.
