Horizons Assassination missions: Wrong target?

Hello CMDRs,

I am really surprised because I took two assassination missions and the same thing happens all the time: I identify a "mission related signal source (threat 1)" but when i drop out from supercruise, i find totally unrelated NPCs, this has happened six times and I really don't understand. I tried to FSD interdict the source but it doesn't work.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a known issue? Thank you for your help

Hmm, not come across that. Are you scanning all the ships that you find in the signal source? Pretty much all assassination missions have other ships that aren't the target, for example if it's a pirate lord, there will also be a trade ship and a couple of escorts flying around, and for deserters, usually some system authority to help you out.

If you have scanned all the ships, (and they don't necessarily all arrive at the same time), then I would submit a bug report.

Thank you I guess it was a bug then, I will try another assassination mission tomorrow just to be sure

Now I have a bounty on my head for 5 days for shooting down an alliance enforcer haha!

Cheers
