Asset transfer to pc

Out of interest exactly what assets can be transferred?

- Ships
- Modules
- Credits

or do you need to sell everything and just have the CR transferred?

Just cash from all the ships and modules sold. After that it’s back to day one Commander with no tanks to your name. ( but a few bob more than a proper day one noob)

Your asset value will be added to your PC account as a lump sum of cash.

Let's say you have 50k cash, and 100k assets, you'll get 100k cash added to PC upon transfer. Do remember that your Xbox save is wiped.

Interesting... so I have about 9 billion in assets so I would get 9 billion in my PC account?

So I take it the Cr I have are not transferred just the asset value?

All your assets are converted to credits for the switch, you take nothing else. No ships/modules/paint jobs/ship kits...basically, so you're mostly harmless in the starter system of your choice once you switch... but with 9 billion credits+ to go and party with. Just remember to sell absolutely everything before you do.

It's a big move for a lot of folks especially losing all the engineering, ranks and store bought stuff. It's starting over with a clean slate...but with credit benefits.

I've certainly never regretted the move...

The asset value is what is transferred, so yes, if you made a request now, you would have 9 billion added to your PC account, free to spend on anything.

If you transfer your assets from Xbox to pc can you still use your Xbox account with a reset commander? I only ask because I have a cobra4 on Xbox but not on my pc accounts. I may be in a minority but I like the cobra4 and would lov3 to see it in VR.

No, an asset transfer will not give you access to the ship on PC.

Only your Xbox account has that privilege.

You can make another CMDR, yes. But you'll lose the CMDR you transfer the assets from. I don't know if you'll still have access to the Cobra IV. You can test that by running Elite with a new CMDR before you reset your current one

You'll still have access. Cobra Mk IV access is an account privilege, not a save privilege. I've wiped save on PC countless times.

Still have access.

But after transferring assets...rather than have a separate Cmdr on PC...you lose all attached to the former account. Once I transferred my assets, I lost my GPP sticker, the Cobra IV and everything else. Had I kept the Xbox Cmdr account running, I would have only retained them on the Xbox account even though my Cmdr name stayed the same.

But that privilege would be tied to his xbox account, not his pc account, I think, right?

Sorry, I could have worded it better.

I meant his Xbox account would still have access.

There's currently no way of getting access on PC.

Great questions, and I want to reinforce what was already said:

- Going from console to pc via support ticket will net you your asset's credit value only

- You will not get any rep, rank, ships, modules, and none of your paint jobs, ship kits, etc transfer.

- And your xbox save gets wiped, so if you want to play on the xbox again you start from scratch.

I'm double Elite on XBOX, and decided to start from scratch on PC. Now I'm close to Double Elite on PC.

Bottom line, it's easier to rank up and make money the second time around ;-)

Good luck!
