Assign hotkey to Shield Cell Bank

I've just assigned the letter B on my keyboard to operate the shield cell bank, but when I tried it it didn't work. I did however manage to activate the shield cell bank when I activated it using my trigger button from a firegroup.

What could be wrong here? Why would it not work from a key?

Oh I see, having it in the firegroups is screwing up the key assignation? Does the same go for chaff and heat sinks?

Strange: that's not been my experience. I have both a keyboard and a HOTAS setting for heat sinks and they both work fine. Likewise with silent running.

Edit: ah but not a fire group. Got it.

Actually, hotkeys for chaff and heat sinks still work even though they are in a firegroup. It just seems to be shield cell banks that are affected this way.

Strange… Didn't test this, I always leave blank chaff, SCB or heat sink, have them mapped on my HOTAS buttons (throttle stick) so no need to use the fire groups and the trigger.
