Assuming Gamma 2.x is the "final" (release) version...

I would just like to say...

That gif - I do not think it means what you think it means. =)

I've had no problems. It's brill. Supercruise transition shinies, Tom-Tom satnav, big audio dynamite, more in-system traffic, info about factions and influence.

No stability issues for me. Ditto for my friend at work who plays ED too.

The game is excellent.

There's stuff I'd still like to see added, but what we have is a fully playable game of massive scope and scale.

It looks amazing and is the driving force for me to buy an Oculus rift.

Already bought X52 Pro flight sticks just for this.

Awesome.

This is exactly my experience the game runs like a dream. Loving the new missions especially the faction ones.

'the majority of us cant even play'... absolute rubbish. a few cant play and that is a few too many but the developers were quickly on the case and working on a solution.

i was straight in with no issues apart from a couple of drops which is to be expected when a lot of stuff was being released and completely stable as usual here

I'm glad you like it, personally I think it could of done with another 6 months in development and some hard questions asked over some of the underlying design choices and the "Vision". Plus offline mode and modding support to really give it a shot at greatness.

BRAVO FD!
The game looks and feels totally AWESOME!
I especially love the look of the starfield and the route planner.
I know there's still work to do, but you have my thanks and admiration.
Right on, Commanders!:D

Agreed. Gamma 2.xx feels more than ever like a real game. There have been a couple of major steps up during testing, but this is the most solid yet. My only complaints would be about things that we are pretty certain will be attended to - deeper content, additional features, etc. but the basic structure of the game is great.

When I think back to the introduction of multiplayer in alpha and what a train wreck it was at the time I'm very impressed with what the dev team has achieved. Even the bugs feel different now - not the chaos of multiple-cause problems, more specific and quickly addressed issues. The coding guys have the package pretty tight now.

For all that people complain that FD are not communicative (yeah, OK, not their greatest talent) I believe they do pay very close attention to the comments and general mood of the backing community. I have a feeling that over the next 2 years the game will evolve in a way that will be both largely true to the original Kickstarter pitch, but also responsive to new players who do not have the historic connection with the Elite franchise.
