Asteroid Base for Miners and Bounty Hunters inside RES

It would be great to have Asteroid Base in RES so it can ease miners job.

It could be also be serve by Bounty Hunters to cash money and refill guns.

In addition it would be really beautiful and fill the game with content.

I agree on this one, mining bases/outposts kinda like the first training mission would be a nice addition.

res aren't really for miners imho; an asteroid base with a shipyard in a pristine metallic ring on the other hand would be great.

RES means Rich Extraction Site. They are for miners. At least you see NPC miners there... And NPC Criminals attack them... You also have a lot of Security Force so if you mine and want protection you can be protected.

But of course you can go mine far away from RES, but i don't know if you have as much interesting materials and metals as in RES or Hazardous RES.

According to this post RES or Hazardous RES are more for bounty hunters and indicate the difficulty of NPC criminals there. Oh well i always thought you had to go to one or the other. I learned something. But at least if you want to do both you can go mine in RES or Hazardous with a well equiped and engineered Anaconda.

For now it seems most of this outpost and station in Asteroid fields are just reasearch facilities or other things, but they are far away from the bubble.

I would find it beautiful to see an outpost or station inside Asteroid Field. Just for the look of it. It would kind of make CQC beautiful map inside the game.

there are dedicated extraction asteroid bases, hind mine for exampel. but they aren't in pristine metallic rings - reserves and quality of a ring are more important for mining, than the added yield of RES.

I really like this idea. I really want ED to be looking like CQC maps.

Edit : In fact they are already adding a lot of CQC element into the game. Check here :D

If it were up to me, that is what RES's would be-locations of outposts, stations, megaships & other assets where miners/pirates/bounty hunters would naturally congregate. With the threat level dependent on Security Level, Population & Economy type.

Whilst we are at it, I also want there to be outposts & asteroid bases within Belt Clusters-controlled by Research Groups or Pirate Facrions. Or how about settlements on the surface of particularly large Asteroids? ;)

Maybe easer to implement big type 9s that buy off ore from miners in RES acompanied by protection wing. Gives player pirates also a rich target in RES. Prices just below those in station but saves miner the trip.
