Asteroid belt mishap,,

After seeing a pic on the forum of a ship "parked" on an asteroid ,, me thinks, i'll have one of those,, and approach the belt cautiously,, supercruising on 50% throttle,,down to 25% ,, and as i come within 2 down to 1mn down to idle speed,, idling on 30 at safe to disengage, as i drop out of SC,,, ship is destroyed within 2 seconds,, now ive dropped out of SC at belts plenty of times before now with no thought as to my speed on approach other than dropping out of SC at the safe to disengage point,, take extra care guys

That is very odd. You shouldn't take any damage from dropping out of SC while going the minimum speed. Not unless your hull integrity was already at ~0%, and maybe not even then. Submit a ticket. Maybe you hit an invisible asteroid?

ship was at 98% hull at the time ,, and as soon as my ship came out of SC it was destroyed in that same second ,, came out of minspeed SC to instant distruction

I had a similar problem some days ago, I got destroyed when I jumped from a asteroid belt into SC, when the countdown to start SC finished, simply booom! I sent a ticket and didn't get response yet.

Thanks for the warning! I wonder if the game accidentally put you through an asteroid..?

Invisi-roid? There a bug in the bug forum regarding those.

Obsidian Ant had one of his early Exploration videos where he entered a ring that was about as deep as half the planet - not narrow like usual. Don't know if that was a bug or not (I think maybe it was), but it was near impossible to get out of once he crashed into it.

as i said, i was approaching an asteroid belt, very cautiously, being around 25,000 Ly from home,, with a trip to Sagittarius A* and a weeks data on board, dropping to 50% SC speed, then down to 25% SC speed, and on reaching the "safe to disengage" point i was at idling 30km/s SC speed,, then on disengaging from SC, despite not seeing any objects outside the ship, it was instantly tossed around and destroyed within 2 seconds,,
I`ve sent a ticket, if it is successful,, will i just turn the game on one day and be returned back where i was before the crash,,,,, no matter what i do on the game between now and then ?

I think they can get you back to where you were but the data is forever lost.Tough break.

Thats really annoying dude can they recover your data if they reply via your support ticket and agree to put your ship and credits back?

I have never seen anyone get data back. Ships and credits, yes. Data no. I've melted myself twice and know the sting only to well.
